About KhabarKids
Big news. Small readers. Zero boring bits.
KhabarKids is a free, daily news website made for curious Indian children aged 8–16. Every edition takes the day's real news — from space and science to sport, animals, and young achievers — and retells it clearly, calmly, and without the scary bits, so a young reader can understand the world and stay curious about it.
One story is written for everyone at an 11–13 reading level. On selected stories we add a 🧸 Little Readers note for ages 8–10 and a 🧠 Think Deeper note for ages 14–16, so the same page grows with the child. Every story ends with a 💬 dinner-table question — because the best learning happens when a family talks.
Our editorial promise
- No ads, ever. Nothing on this page is trying to sell your child anything.
- Age-appropriate, always. No graphic violence, gore, or frightening detail. Hard news like wars and disasters is handled calmly, focusing on the people helping.
- Neutral on politics. We explain what things are — an election, a new law — and never praise or criticise any party or leader.
- Every fact is sourced. Each story names where it came from, and we paraphrase in our own words.
- Curiosity, not anxiety. Every story is meant to leave a child wondering, not worrying.
